Who will it be this time? Who can take Western Musume Fandom's Ultimate Prize? Will the Mari be able to hold onto her crown? Can Gaki make a comeback?

That's what I thought but it said Yuuko(?) so I thought it was the members that got voted out during that round ie Nakazawa got voted out in Round 1 '08.

Doesn't look like this time around it'll be much different from last year. Usually the death of the early gens first but not entirely surprised that THAT certain member also has that many votes :p

this is my first participation in the "UK" and im surprised and saddened to see fukuda get so many votes, i love her :/
alot of votes are actually surprising
if you really feel the need to vote on a first gen there's a way better candidate :rolleyes:
however the "best" one is not found in first gen of course
but im not going to tell people how to vote :D

I think someone mentioned in last years one... that because all or most of us only got to know MM in their latest years not many of us now the greatness of the OG. But they really deserve some more limelight.

yep they do :) But it doesn't matter when you got to know them. It does matter whether you listen to the songs they sang back then and whether you watch the shows they were on.

Actually if you had a look at the earlier H!M episodes you would know how great they were. Each one had such a strong character and when you compare them to the present members... well... you get the point.

I still think they deserve more credit for what they've done.

i've been a fan for a few months, not a full year at least, and i love the oldies :) they were alot of fun and generally had more personality on shows and let's not get in to vocal talent :)

Much as I want to see Fukuda go through to the next round, let's be honest, I think we can oversell her personality.

What personality?

She could sing well, she was a nice person, she got bullied and left. That's about all I can say about her. I have no evidence of her having a particularly buoyant personality and I'm not sure there's any out there.

Say what you like about Koharu (can't sing a lick, for example) but she has personality coming out the wahzoo!
