Top 5 FPS games?

What are your favourite, top 5, first person shooters?

For any console!

Now...I've only played Halo once, but it was ok...so here goes

1 Half Life 2 (even though I can't get it to work anymore, i loved this, the story and the way the action flows!)
2 Deus Ex (old game alert lol, the 1st LONG FPS that I played, it is a long game...and you choose the way the story goes, there are 3 endings possible, I got em all ;) )
3 Half Life (and all the other games for that, Blue Shift, Opposing Force etc)
4 Call of Duty: Finest Hour (I know...the age old war between MOH and COD rages everyday but tbh...COD:FH was such a good game! I love the idea they had, you meet another person and you start playing as them! I loved it!)
5 Red Faction (Brilliant story, brilliant gameplay...pity its a bit...hmm...short? and slightly repetitive)

I know I left a few out such as Area 51 (the story was CRAP but I liked the way you chould change into some weird thing...even if the power it had was useless!), and the original DOOM series (You will NEVER be able to compare to those I'm afraid...beautiful games!), oh and don't forget Quake 2 (FTW lol, love that game so much) but this is the list I have...today lol...Tomorrow it will change no doubt.

1.Goldeneye 64 (This was truly AWESOME when it came out)
2. Call of Duty (1st WWII FPS i truly loved)
3. Quake (Remember the past when i sat nights all long playing it on internet, and really crushed in all servers)
4. CS (yea i know, it's cs...... but hey it was fun with 1.5 version ^^)
5. DOOM (Remember those summer mornings when i went in to my neighbour living next door, and playing it all day long.... Those were awesome times xD)

This was actually really difficult. There aren't that many great FPS games out there...

Also, they're not FIRST person shooters, but they do deserve mention...
Games like: Mercenaries; Star Wars: Battlefront [1 & 2]; Freedom Fighters...

XD Surprised you liked Freedom Fighters Dran XD but it was an amazing game...it wouldn't have worked in FP I don't think!

It was a good game. But I felt kinda dirty every time I replaced a USSR flag with an American one. XD :P

3. Perfect Dark (N64)

No order, but excellent games. Medal of Honor has to be one of the best FPS's though as it is so well balanced on Allies and Axis, but gives the weapons enough variation to make it different on both sides.

COD-1 is one of the worst FPS's i've played, extremmly unbalanced when Americans were involved as their guns were superior to everything else. But COD4 was one of the best FPS's i've ever played, just stunning.

Perfect Dark, well its just fun and more.

Halo, loved the story, loved the weapons, hated XBox Live. Halo is the kind of game you play with a mate and get smashed on Cider and eat Chilli Heatwave Dorito's.

Battlefield 2142 was in my eyes the best Battlefield game as it centred itself around the boys on the ground instead of vechiles like its brother Battlefield 2. Great fun to play on either team, nice graphics, overall great game.

MY top 5 as of today would be:

1. Halo( Including 2 and 3, I love the games storyline.)
2. Bioshock( This game is just so unique i can't describe it in few words.)
3. Half-Life 2( Amazing gameplay and everything is done through you with no cut scenes.)
4. COD4 (Short, but alot of gameplay action)
5. F.E.A.R. (A secret service that deals the paranormal, just plan awesome)

hmmm...
1. Doom [old school demon shooting madness]
2. Half-Life [excellent story and gameplay]
3. Counter Strike 1.3 [nothing beats killing terrorists and counter-terrorists]
4. Quake III [deathmatch and ctf galore]
5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare [superb gameplay, graphics and such, but the multiplay is where it's at]

for me, Without a doubt

1: Unreal Tournament 2004 (became 4th of europa with my clan on the Eurocup for Clanbase - and some other stuff, was great times :D) - I still play it daily but for different clan now.
2: Call of Duty 4 (trying it for clan wars awell)
3: Counter-Strike: Source (Used to clan war loong time ago not anymore)

I really don't have other shooters I play atm, just for the simple reason that my aim would go sucky in my main FPS games if I would play tomany others :D
